The Society holds a large collection of material of local interest, including original documents, copies of Parish and Census records, photographs and ephemera.
Some
20,000 individual records relating to family research have been computerised.
Copies of the following are available at reasonable cost:
Census records 1841 - 1891 (1901 available soon)
Baptismal Records 1637 - 1906
Marriage Records 1653 - 1875
Burial Records 1639 - 1939
Individual research projects may be carried out on an agreed time/cost basis. Access to archival material is available only by prior arrangement. Contact the Society for further details.
